Who to contact

Cut Assembly is operated by JJ Bros Studio Ltd. For privacy questions or requests, email the studio.

Using this website

This website has no customer accounts, upload forms, payments or advertising analytics. The copy button puts the project questions on your device clipboard. Email links open your email application, where you can review the message before sending it.

The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting providers may process technical information, including IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the website. We do not add our own marketing cookies or tracking pixels.

Portfolio thumbnails load from Vimeo and YouTube image services, which receive the network information needed to display them. We do not send the referring page address with image requests.

Individual film pages load a player from Vimeo or YouTube. Vimeo uses its Do Not Track setting, which limits analytics but still allows essential cookies. YouTube uses its privacy enhanced player. These providers receive technical information when the player loads and handle playback under their own privacy policies. Videos do not play automatically.

Email enquiries

We use your name, contact details and the information you send to understand your brief, reply, prepare a quote and manage any agreed work. Google Workspace provides our email. Authorised AI assistance through OpenAI may help organise enquiries and prepare or send routine replies. Commercial commitments and sensitive questions are reviewed by the business owner.

We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to relevant business enquiries and operating the service. Where you are personally entering a contract, we also process information needed to take the steps you request and perform that contract. Records needed for accounting or other statutory requirements are retained to meet those obligations. We do not sell enquiry information.

We keep correspondence while an enquiry or project is active, and afterwards where needed for the working relationship, business records or legal obligations. We agree how long to retain project material and when to delete it. Service providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable data protection arrangements. Please contact us if your project needs particular locations or controls.

Project material

Start with a description. Please do not send confidential footage, internal financial information, personal customer data or access credentials in an initial enquiry. We agree the transfer method, permitted tools, access and handling requirements before receiving material.

We do not upload source footage to generative AI services as part of the standard service. We agree suitable storage and review tools with your team. Any specialist collaborators and their access are agreed for the project.

Editorial and technical checks are separate from the client’s approval of financial claims, figures and disclosures. Cut Assembly does not provide regulatory approval.

Your choices and rights

You can ask about your information, request access or correction, and ask for deletion, restriction or portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can ask us not to contact you for marketing. Please email us so we can review your request.

You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
